Mikroflora Saluran Pencernaan, Morfologi Usus, Dan Pertambahan Bobot Badan Ayam Broiler Yang Diberi Ransum Dengan Penambahan Asam Humat

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan asam humat dalam pakan terhadap mikroflora saluran pencernaan, morfologi usus, dan pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) ayam broiler. Sejumlah 100 ekor ayam broiler umur 1 hari strain Lohmann dengan rerata bobot badan 36,13 ± 2,76 gram digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang dipelihara selama 35 hari. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan masing-masing unit terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah P0= pakan basal, P1= pakan basal + 0,025% asam humat, P2= pakan basal + 0,050% asam humat, P3= pakan basal + 0,075% asam humat, dan P4= pakan basal + 0,1% asam humat. Variabel yang diamati adalah mikroflora saluran pencernaan meliputi populasi bakteri Eschericia coli dan bakteri asam laktat, morfologi usus meliputi tinggi vili dan kedalaman kripta serta PBBH ayam broiler. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Variansi (ANAVA) dilanjutkan dengan Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) serta non parametrik Independent Samples Kruskal-Wallis dengan Pairwise Comparisons. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan asam humat dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata (P≤0,05) menurunkan populasi bakteri E. coli, meningkatkan jumlah bakteri asam laktat, meningkatkan tinggi villi menurunkan kedalaman kripta, serta meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini penambahan 0,1% asam humat dapat memperbaiki keseimbangan mikroflora saluran pencernaan, morfologi usus dan meningkatkan PBBH ayam broiler.
